Printing apparatus, control method therefor, and printing system

A method for controlling a printing apparatus that communicates with a printing server system that provides a cloud printing service that receives a print job for a comprehensive logical printer associated with a plurality of printing apparatuses, the method comprising:

• determining whether the printing apparatus has a permission to execute printing according to a print job input to the comprehensive logical printer;
• making a request to the printing server system for a list including a print job input to the comprehensive logical printer, based on a determination that the printing apparatus has the permission;
• and
• executing printing according to a print job obtained from the printing server system, wherein
• the printing server system is not requested for a list including a print job input to the comprehensive logical printer, based on a determination that the printing apparatus does not have the permission.

A printing system comprising:

• a printing server system configured to provide a cloud printing service that receives a print job for a comprehensive logical printer associated with a plurality of printing apparatuses;
• and
• a printing apparatus, wherein
• the printing apparatus includes
• a determination unit configured to determine whether the printing apparatus has a permission to execute printing according to a print job input to the comprehensive logical printer;
• a requesting unit configured to make a request to the printing server system for a list including a print job input to the comprehensive logical printer, based on a determination that the printing apparatus has the permission;
• and
• a printing unit configured to execute printing according to a print job obtained from the printing server system,
• the printing server system includes
• a transmission unit configured to transmit the list requested from the printing apparatus to the printing apparatus, and
• the requesting unit does not make a request to the printing server system for a list including a print job input to the comprehensive logical printer, based on a determination that the printing apparatus does not have the permission.
