Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a single image forming portion including a plurality of discharging portions for discharging waste toner and configured to form a toner image on a recording material;
• a fixing device including a heat rotatable member configured to apply heat to the recording material and configured to fix the toner image formed by the image forming portion onto the recording material;
• a plurality of branch pipeline passages connected to the plurality of the discharging portions, respectively, the waste toners discharged from the plurality of the discharging portions, respectively falling inside the plurality of the branch pipeline passages, respectively;
• and
• a merging pipeline passage connected to the plurality of the branch pipeline passages, respectively and configured to receive the waste toners from the plurality of branch pipeline passages,
• wherein the merging pipeline passage is located above the heat rotatable member with respect to a vertical direction and at a position overlapping with the heat rotatable member with respect to a horizontal direction, and
• wherein any of the plurality of branch pipeline passages is located above the heat rotatable member with respect to the vertical direction and at a position nonoverlapping with the heat rotatable member with respect to the horizontal direction.
