Abstract
The present disclosure is related to a system and method for expanding the depth of field (DOF) of an optical system. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the system for extending a depth of field of an optical system includes: a phase shift mask disposed between first and second lenses of the optical system; and a controller configured to control a binary phase structure formed in the phase shift mask.
Claims12
A system for extending a depth of field of an optical system, the system comprising:
- a phase shift mask disposed between first and second lenses of the optical system;
- and
- a controller configured to control a binary phase structure formed in the phase shift mask.
A method for extending a depth of field of an optical system, the method comprising:
- disposing a phase shift mask between first and second lenses of the optical system;
- and
- applying an optimal binary phase structure while controlling a binary phase structure formed on the phase shift mask.
