Abstract
Provided herein are compositions, systems, and methods comprising effector proteins, and uses thereof. These effector proteins may be characterized as CRISPR-associated (Cas) proteins. Various compositions, systems, and methods of the present disclosure may leverage the activities of these effector proteins for the editing, detecting and/or engineering of nucleic acids.
Claims21
-70. (canceled)
A system for detecting a target nucleic acid, the system comprising:
- a) a nuclease, wherein the nuclease comprises an amino acid sequence that is at least 9% identical to SEQ ID NO:
- 83;
- b) a guide nucleic acid, wherein the guide nucleic acid comprises a first region that interacts with the nuclease and a second region comprising a spacer sequence;
- and
- c) a reporter, wherein the reporter comprises a nucleic acid and a detectable moiety.
A polypeptide or nucleic acid encoding the same, wherein the polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence that is at least 99% identical to SEQ ID NO:
- 83.
