A method of calibrating a camera comprising an image sensor and a diffractive aperture projecting light onto the image sensor, the method including: providing a camera model mathematical describing the camera; positioning the camera in a first rotational position with respect to a plurality of targets and recording a first image of the plurality of targets; rotating the camera into a second rotational position with respect to the targets and recording a second image; determining a first set of observation angles of the targets from the first image and a second set of observation angles from the second image, using the camera model; determining a function based on the first and/or second set of observation angles and a set of differential angles representing a difference between the first and second observation angles; determining camera model errors from the function and comparing these to a limit; if the errors are not lower than the limit, updating the camera model based on the errors and repeat the steps of determining and comparing. Unlocking insights from Geo-Data, the present invention further relates to improvements in sustainability and environmental developments: together we create a safe and liveable world.
Method of calibrating a camera of a computer vision system, the camera comprising an image sensor and a diffractive aperture arranged for projecting light onto the image sensor, the method comprising the steps:
The method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein step (a) comprises arranging the plurality of targets such that a target is arranged at each lateral periphery of a field of view of said camera, and any remaining targets of said plurality of targets are substantially uniformly distributed between the targets arranged at a lateral periphery.
The method according to any one of the preceding claims, further comprising:
The method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the camera model comprises as parameters:
The method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the method is performed while doing real measurements using the computer vision system.
The method according to any one of the preceding claims, further comprising:
System for calibrating a camera of a computer vision system, the camera comprising an image sensor and a diffractive aperture arranged for projecting incoming light onto the image sensor, the system comprising:
A computer program product comprising instructions which, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform the steps of:
