Abstract
A method of erecting a multi-storey structure is disclosed. During construction, at least a portion of a perimeter facade of the structure is disposed to extend at least two storeys height beyond an upper work area of the structure and forms at least part of a safety barrier for that work area and wherein in erecting the multi-story structure, at least one further floor of the structure is erected over the upper work area. The further floor forming a respective subsequent upper work area of the structure, and wherein at least a portion of the facade is disposed to extend at least one storey height beyond the uppermost of the subsequent work areas.

A method of erecting a multi-storey structure having a facade disposed around at least a portion of a perimeter of the multi-storey structure, wherein during construction, installing at least a portion of the facade to extend at least two storeys height beyond an upper work area of the structure, the facade forming at least part of a safety barrier for that work area and for the construction of a least one further floor of the structure over the upper work area, the facade comprising a plurality of modules that are secured in side by side and one on top of the other arrangement to extend the at least two storeys height beyond the upper work area;
- erecting a further floor of the structure over the upper work area by casting the further floor over the upper work area and within the facade modules, the cast floor within the facade forming an extension of the further floor and connecting the further floor to the facade, the further floor forming a subsequent upper work area of the structure, and wherein at least a portion of the facade extending at least one storey height beyond the subsequent work area and forms at least part of a safety barrier for that subsequent work area.
A facade module for use in a facade of a multi-storey structure, the facade module being self-supporting and configured to be used during construction of the multi-storey structure to enable the facade to extend at least two storeys height beyond an upper work area of the structure, the facade module having a floor portion including reinforcing and, when installed as part of the facade, being configured to receive a cast floor of the structure whereby on casting, the reinforcing is embedded into the cast floor.
A facade configured to be disposed around at least a portion of a perimeter of a multi-storey structure, wherein during construction, at least a portion of the facade is disposed to extend at least two storeys height beyond an upper work area of the structure and forms at least part of a safety barrier for that work area and for a subsequent work area of a further floor erected over the upper work area, wherein the facade is formed from a plurality of self-supporting facade modules that are secured in side by side and one on top of the other arrangement to extend the at least two storeys height beyond the upper work area.
