Abstract
Provided herein are isolated peptides that bind to a phage that infects and lyses the pathogenic bacterium P. aeruginosa. The peptides are useful as in vivo tracers for the real-time analysis of phage therapy.
Claims18
An isolated peptide comprising the amino acid LPPIX1RX2 (SEQ ID NO:
- 1), wherein X1 or X2 is any amino acid, or an amino acid selected from G, L, M or N, and wherein X1 and X2 can be the same or different from each other.
An isolated peptide comprising a peptide selected from the group of peptides shown in FIG. 3, and optionally FIG. 3A.
An isolated peptide comprising the amino acid selected from an amino acid from the group of WDLPPIGRLSGN (SEQ ID NO:
- 2) or THLPPIMRNLQF (SEQ ID NO:
- 3), SWMPPILRSPAV (SEQ ID NO:
- 6), SWLPNIQRHWLS (SEQ ID NO:
- 7), HLPPILRMLDLV (SEQ ID NO:
- 8), HLPPIQRTPTYA (SEQ ID NO:
- 9), LPPIVRLPGLLH (SEQ ID NO:
- 10), FPFGPINRDMTA (SEQ ID NO:
- 11), or NGVWLPPIARVL (SEQ ID NO:
- 12).
