Apparatuses, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products for generating deceleration display for vehicle stopping operations

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer program code stored thereon that, in execution with the at least one processor, is configured to execute operations comprising:
• receiving location information corresponding to an intended stopping point for a vehicle;
• determining a current travel speed and a current location of the vehicle;
• determining a current deceleration performance based at least in part on (i) the current travel speed of the vehicle, (ii) the current location of the vehicle, and (iii) one or more vehicle deceleration capabilities corresponding to the vehicle;
• predicting a required deceleration performance associated with stopping the vehicle at the intended stopping point;
• generating a set of display elements comprising (i) a first display element indicating the required deceleration performance, (ii) a second display element indicating the current deceleration performance, and (iii) a third display element indicating the one or more vehicle deceleration capabilities relative to the required deceleration performance;
• and
• causing display of the set of display elements via an operator interface.

A computer program product comprising at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer program code stored thereon that, in execution with at least one processor, is configured to execute operations comprising:

• receiving location information corresponding to an intended stopping point for a vehicle;
• determining a current travel speed and a current location of the vehicle;
• determining a current deceleration performance based at least in part on (i) the current travel speed of the vehicle, (ii) the current location of the vehicle, and (iii) one or more vehicle deceleration capabilities corresponding to the vehicle;
• predicting a required deceleration performance associated with stopping the vehicle at the intended stopping point;
• generating a set of display elements comprising (i) a first display element indicating the required deceleration performance, (ii) a second display element indicating the current deceleration performance, and (iii) a third display element indicating the one or more vehicle deceleration capabilities relative to the required deceleration performance;
• and
• causing display of the set of display elements via an operator interface.
