Control device and control method

A control method for controlling an operation of a brake lamp (14) of a straddle-type vehicle (1), the method comprising:

• causing of a control device (20) to acquire a pressure detection value (VD) of a brake fluid of the straddle-type vehicle (1);
• and
• causing the control device (20) to control the operation of the brake lamp (14),
• wherein the control device (20) executes a first control to control the operation of the brake lamp (14) in a pre-launch phase that is a phase from when an ignition of the straddle-type vehicle (1) is on until a launch phase of the straddle-type vehicle (1) starts, based on a first pressure correction value (VC) that is a value obtained by subtracting a first offset amount (VO) from the pressure detection value (VD), and
• in the first control executed in the pre-launch phase, the first offset amount (VO) is determined based on the pressure detection value (VD) detected after a previous ignition on.
