Abstract
A vehicle includes a chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, and a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position. The door is positioned on an exterior of the vehicle. The door lock assembly defines a key aperture configured to receive a key. The door lock assembly is coupled to the cab, and wherein the key aperture is positioned forward of the door.
Claims20
A vehicle comprising:
- a chassis defining a longitudinal axis;
- a cab coupled to the chassis;
- a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab along the longitudinal axis;
- a door coupled on a first lateral side of the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis along the longitudinal axis between an open position and a closed position;
- and
- a door lock assembly coupled on the first lateral side of the cab, the door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position;
- and
- a latching assembly coupled to the door and configured to selectively couple to the door lock assembly to prevent movement of the door toward the open position.
A vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a cab coupled to the chassis;
- a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab;
- a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position;
- and
- a door lock assembly comprising:
- a lock body coupled to at least one of the door, the cab, or the cargo body, the lock body defining a first retainer aperture;
- a core cylinder extending within the lock body, the core cylinder configured to rotate between a locked configuration to prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position and an unlocked configuration allowing movement of the door to the open position;
- a sleeve received within the lock body, the sleeve defining (a) a sleeve aperture that receives the core cylinder and (b) a second retainer aperture;
- a tumbler coupled to the core cylinder and configured to engage the sleeve to limit rotation of the core cylinder when the core cylinder is in a locked configuration;
- and
- a plate coupled to the lock body and extending radially through the first retainer aperture into the second retainer aperture to limit rotation of the sleeve relative to the lock body, the plate having a uniform thickness;
- and
- a biasing member coupled to the core cylinder at a rear end thereof, wherein the biasing member applies a rotational force on the core cylinder in a direction of rotation opposite a direction of rotation for the core cylinder rotating from the locked configuration to an unlocked configuration.
A vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a cab coupled to the chassis;
- a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab;
- a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position;
- and
- a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position, the door lock assembly defining a key aperture configured to receive a key,
- wherein the door lock assembly is coupled to the at least one of the door or the cab;
- and
- a latching assembly selectively coupled to the door lock assembly, wherein the latching assembly is selectively engaged with the door lock assembly by rotating a key within the key aperture.
