Abstract
One or more examples provide an electric vehicle or a device for use with an electric vehicle, including an electric vehicle charging system and method. In one example, an electric truck with an electric tailgate is disclosed.
Claims22
An electric tailgate for use with a vehicle having a primary power system to drive the vehicle, the electric tailgate comprising:
- a tailgate housing including an exterior panel and an interior panel;
- and
- a tailgate power system located in the tailgate housing between the exterior panel and the interior panel, the tailgate power system including a battery pack to power devices separately from the primary power system.
An electric tailgate for use with a truck, the electric tailgate comprising:
- a tailgate power system disposed entirely within the electric tailgate, the tailgate power system including:
- a battery pack;
- a power converter coupled to the battery pack;
- and
- at least one power outlet powered from the battery pack.
