Abstract

Provided is a printing apparatus including a mounting portion on which a cotton cloth or a transfer sheet is selectively mounted, a printing section that is configured to discharge ink for image formation and adhesive liquid, and a controller that controls operation of the printing section. The controller includes a selection section that selects one of a first mode in which the operation of the printing section is controlled such that the ink for image formation is discharged toward the cotton cloth mounted on the mounting portion so that a first image layer is formed and a second mode in which the operation of the printing section is controlled such that the ink for image formation is discharged toward the transfer sheet mounted on the mounting portion so that a second image layer is formed and the adhesive liquid is discharged toward the second image layer after formation of the second image layer so that an adhesive layer is formed.
