Method for producing an optical arrangement comprising an optical waveguide and an optical component

A method for producing an optical arrangement comprising at least one optical waveguide and at least one optical component, the method comprising:

• providing an optical waveguide, which has a surface, and an optical component, which has a back-side surface, wherein the surface of the optical waveguide and the back-side surface of the optical component are configured for arrangement on one another in a manner facing one another and have a surface geometry matched to one another;
• providing at least one mask which is configured to at least partly cover an edge region of the surface of the optical waveguide and of the back-side surface of the optical component;
• arranging the mask on the surface of the optical waveguide or on the back-side surface of the optical component such that the edge region is at least partly covered;
• applying an adhesive to the surface of the optical waveguide or to the back-side surface of the optical component on which the mask is arranged;
• placing the back-side surface of the optical component and the surface of the optical waveguide on top of one another;
• curing the adhesive;
• and
• removing the mask.
