Abstract
This disclosure improves adsorption performance of an adsorption pad with respect to an article. An article holding device includes: a pad attachment part provided with a suction port; an adsorption pad that is attached to the pad attachment part and that is configured to adsorb the article; and a pressing part that is movable relative to the pad attachment part and that is configured to press the adsorption pad toward the article in an adsorbing state of the article.

An article holding device comprising:
- a pad attachment part that is provided with a suction port;
- an adsorption pad that is attached to the pad attachment part and that is configured to adsorb an article;
- and
- a pressing part that is movable relative to the pad attachment part along a direction of a center axis of the suction port and that is configured to press the adsorption pad toward the article in an adsorbing state of the article.
