Disclosed herein are components, systems, and methods to deliver dense-phase slurry to a cutting head of a fluid jet cutting system to form a slurry jet. A slurry condenser receives lean-phase slurry in a first chamber. The lean-phase slurry gathers in a lower portion of the first chamber. A slurry valve and a bypass fluid valve that are both positioned between the first chamber and a second chamber along two separate flow paths of the slurry condenser may be opened to transfer the slurry from the first chamber to the second chamber. The slurry exits the second chamber and is then delivered to the fluid jet cutting head where the slurry is combined with a fluid jet to form the slurry jet.
