Abstract
In an embodiment an electrode includes a sintered portion based on a mixture of at least a first group of particles and a second group of particles, which are merged or sintered, wherein the first and second groups of particles comprise a valve metal or a metal from the boron group, and wherein an average particle size of a size-distribution of the first group of particles is smaller than an average particle size of a size-distribution of the second group of particles.
Claims19
An electrode comprising:
- a sintered portion based on a mixture of at least a first group of particles and a second group of particles which are merged or sintered,
- wherein the first and second groups of particles comprise a valve metal or a metal from the boron group, and
- wherein an average particle size of a size-distribution of the first group of particles is smaller than an average particle size of a size distribution of the second group of particles.
An electrode comprising:
- a sintered portion comprising or consisting of merged or sintered particles,
- wherein the particles comprise a valve metal or a metal from the boron group, and
- wherein an average particle size of a size-distribution of the particles is below 6 μm.
A precursor material for producing a sintered portion comprising:
- a mixture of at least a first group of particles and a second group of particles,
- wherein the first and second groups of particles comprise a valve metal or a metal from the boron group, and
- wherein an average particle size of a size-distribution of the first group of particles is smaller than an average particle size of size distribution of the second group of particles.
