An apparatus and a method for adsorbing and desorbing CO2 from air using a sorbent and temperature-swing adsorption and desorption, and a heat exchanger. The apparatus mainly comprises a control unit, a heat pump, a plurality first and second heat exchanger systems, a plurality of fan systems and a vacuum pump. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of fluid lines that connect the heat pump to the first heat exchanger systems and second heat exchanger systems. The method of adsorbing and desorbing CO2 from air mainly includes the steps of passing air through the first heat exchanger systems and the second heat exchanger systems, providing a CO2 sorbent on the second heat exchanger systems, adsorbing of CO2 molecules via the CO2 sorbent, desorption of CO2 molecules via heat transfer from a heat source to the CO2 sorbent, and evacuating and storing of the CO2. The heat exchanger includes a plurality of bladders as first fluid lines, with a plurality of second fluid lines external to the bladders, wherein the bladders contract or expand based on the pressure difference of the first and second fluids.
