Abstract
Provided is a recombinant exosome, and more specifically, to a recombinant exosome obtained from a eukaryotic cell transfected for the expression of a glucose transporter protein (GLUT) and a membrane fusogenic protein, and use thereof.
Claims20
A recombinant exosome, wherein a glucose transporter (GLUT) protein and a membrane fusogenic protein are comprised in a membrane thereof.
A method of fusing a membrane fusogenic protein into a cell membrane of a target cell, the method comprising steps of:
- i) preparing an extracellular vesicle comprising a membrane fusogenic protein;
- ii) preparing a target cell to contact with the prepared extracellular vesicle;
- and
- iii) inducing the membrane fusogenic protein of the extracellular vesicle to fuse into a cell membrane of the target cell,
- wherein the fusion in the step (iii) excludes a fusion by endocytosis of the target cell.
A method for delivering a target protein to a target cell in a subject, the method comprising steps of:
- i) preparing an extracellular vesicle comprising a membrane fusogenic protein and a target protein;
- ii) preparing a subject for contacting a target cell of the subject with the prepared extracellular vesicle;
- iii) inducing the membrane fusogenic protein and the target protein of the extracellular vesicle to fuse into a cell membrane of the target cell;
- iv) allowing the target protein to fuse into the cell membrane of the target cell,
- wherein the fusion in the steps (iii) and (iv) excludes a fusion by endocytosis of the target cell.
