Topical compositions for treating or preventing scars and methods for their use

A method for treating or preventing a scar or wound, the method comprising:

• applying a cleansing composition followed by a first treatment composition to a wound or scar at least once daily for a first period of time, wherein the cleansing composition comprises silicone and rosemary flower extract, and wherein the first treatment composition comprises aloe leaf juice, macadamia seed oil, and vitamin B5;
• after the first period of time, applying a second treatment composition to the wound or scar at least once daily for a second period of time, wherein the second treatment composition comprises aloe leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, and allantoin;
• after the second period of time, applying a third treatment composition to the wound or scar at least once daily for a third period of time, wherein the third treatment composition comprises snail mucin extract;
• after the third period of time, applying a fourth treatment composition to the wound or scar at least once daily for a fourth period of time, wherein the fourth treatment composition comprises tocopherol;
• and
• after the fourth period of time, applying a fifth treatment composition to the wound or scar at least once daily for a fifth period of time, wherein the fifth treatment composition comprises retinol.
