Abstract
A prosthetic heart valve holder includes a ring body defining a central opening, and a plurality of mating features disposed on the ring body and facing the central opening. Each mating feature may be configured to engage with one of a plurality of stabilization arches of a prosthetic heart valve when the prosthetic heart valve is in an expanded configuration.
Claims20
A prosthetic heart valve holder, comprising:
- a ring body defining a central opening;
- and
- a plurality of mating features disposed on the ring body and facing the central opening, each mating feature configured to engage with one of a plurality of stabilization arches of a prosthetic heart valve when the prosthetic heart valve is in an expanded configuration.
A prosthetic heart valve holder, comprising:
- a ring body;
- and
- a plurality of engagement members extending axially upward from an upper surface of the ring body, each of the plurality of engagement members configured to engage an apex of one of a plurality of stabilization arches of a prosthetic heart valve when the prosthetic heart valve is in an expanded configuration.
A method of securing an expandable prosthetic heart valve to a valve holder comprising:
- compressing commissure posts of a prosthetic heart valve in an expanded configuration, wherein each commissure post joins adjacent stabilization arches;
- aligning an apex of each one of a plurality of stabilization arches of the prosthetic heart valve with a corresponding mating feature on the valve holder;
- and
- allowing the prosthetic heart valve to expand such that each stabilization arch engages with one mating feature.
