A method for applying a protector onto a platform of a platform shoe, the method comprising:
- wrapping a pre-cut sheet having a pre-applied adhesive on a first surface of the sheet around the platform;
- and
- applying internally oriented radial pressure to a second surface of the sheet such that the pre-applied adhesive adheres to an exterior of the platform.
