Abstract
An animal litter comprising (a) an animal litter base and (b) a particulate absorptive matrix to which fragrance has been added, the fragrance being characterised by (a) having weight proportions of top, middle and base notes of respectively 35-80, 10-40 and 5-25% (b) components with a C log P value of less than 1.5 comprising 3% maximum of the fragrance, and (c) being substantially free from water-miscible solvents. The litter is resistant to the heating step often used in litter preparation and delivers an undiminished malodour counteraction effect.

An animal litter comprising (a) an animal litter base and (b) a particulate absorptive matrix to which fragrance has been added, the fragrance being characterised by (a) having weight proportions of top, middle and base notes of respectively 35-80, 10-40 and 5-25% (b), components with a C log P value of less than 1.5 comprising 3% maximum of the fragrance, and (c) being substantially free from water-miscible solvents.
