Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications. An example method includes obtaining, from a network entity, a request for a partitioning scheme for a plurality of code block groups (CBGs) of a transport block (TB), the partitioning scheme indicating a partitioning of a plurality of code blocks (CBs) of the TB into the plurality of CBGs based on a channel condition for transmission of the TB; and communicating with the network entity in accordance with the partitioning scheme.

An apparatus comprising a processing system, the processing system comprising one or more memories and one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the processing system configured to cause a user equipment (UE) to:
- obtain, from a network entity, a request for a partitioning scheme for a plurality of code block groups (CBGs) of a transport block (TB), the partitioning scheme indicating a partitioning of a plurality of code blocks (CBs) of the TB into the plurality of CBGs based on a channel condition for transmission of the TB;
- and
- communicate with the network entity in accordance with the partitioning scheme.
An apparatus comprising a processing system, the processing system comprising one or more memories and one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the processing system configured to cause a network entity to:
- send, to a user equipment (UE), a request for a partitioning scheme for a plurality of code block groups (CBGs) of a transport block (TB), the partitioning scheme indicating a partitioning of a plurality of code blocks (CBs) of the TB into the plurality of CBGs based on a channel condition for transmission of the TB;
- and
- communicate with the UE in accordance with the partitioning scheme.
A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) comprising:
- obtaining, from a network entity, a request for a partitioning scheme for a plurality of code block groups (CBGs) of a transport block (TB), the partitioning scheme indicating a partitioning of a plurality of code blocks (CBs) of the TB into the plurality of CBGs based on a channel condition for transmission of the TB;
- and
- communicating with the network entity in accordance with the partitioning scheme.
