Abstract
A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, receiving, via an antenna, a signal generated by a communication device, detecting an interference in the signal, the interference generated by one or more transmitters unassociated with the communication device, and the interference determined from signal characteristics associated with a signaling protocol used by the one or more transmitters, and performing signal conditioning on the signal to reduce the interference. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Claims26
An apparatus, comprising:
- a circuit that facilitates operations including:
- monitoring downlink signal characteristics of one or more downlink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the downlink signal characteristics, determining a plurality of interference profiles, each of the plurality of interference profiles corresponding to a potential intermodulation interferer in a range of frequencies and including a severity analysis of the potential intermodulation interferer;
- monitoring uplink signal characteristics of one or more uplink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the uplink signal characteristics, obtaining data associated with a plurality of uplink frequency ranges of the one or more uplink signals;
- and
- performing signal conditioning on the one or more uplink signals based on one or more of the plurality of interference profiles and at least a portion of the data to reduce intermodulation interference.
A device, comprising:
- a circuit that facilitates operations including:
- monitoring downlink signal characteristics of one or more downlink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the downlink signal characteristics, determining a plurality of interference profiles, each of the plurality of interference profiles corresponding to a potential intermodulation interferer in a range of frequencies and including a weight associated with the potential intermodulation interferer;
- monitoring uplink signal characteristics of one or more uplink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the uplink signal characteristics, obtaining data associated with a plurality of uplink frequency ranges of the one or more uplink signals;
- and
- performing signal conditioning on the one or more uplink signals based on one or more of the plurality of interference profiles and at least a portion of the data to reduce intermodulation interference.
A non-transitory, machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a circuit, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
- monitoring downlink signal characteristics of one or more downlink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the downlink signal characteristics, determining a plurality of interference profiles, each of the plurality of interference profiles corresponding to a potential intermodulation interferer in a range of frequencies and including a confidence level associated with the potential intermodulation interferer;
- monitoring uplink signal characteristics of one or more uplink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the uplink signal characteristics, obtaining data associated with a plurality of uplink frequency ranges of the one or more uplink signals;
- and
- performing signal conditioning on the one or more uplink signals based on one or more of the plurality of interference profiles and at least a portion of the data to reduce intermodulation interference.
A system, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- monitor downlink signal characteristics of one or more downlink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the downlink signal characteristics, determine a plurality of interference profiles, each of the plurality of interference profiles corresponding to a potential intermodulation interferer in a range of frequencies and including a severity analysis of the potential intermodulation interferer;
- monitor uplink signal characteristics of one or more uplink signals;
- based on the monitoring of the uplink signal characteristics, obtain data associated with a plurality of uplink frequency ranges of the one or more uplink signals;
- and
- perform signal conditioning on the one or more uplink signals based on one or more of the plurality of interference profiles and at least a portion of the data to reduce intermodulation interference.
