A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions that secure communication interactions, wherein a communication interaction comprises a communication among a plurality of connected users, each connected user using an associated communication device via one or more communication modes, when the executable instructions are executed by one or more processors of a computer system, the executable instructions cause the computer system to at least:
- provide to a first user device associated with a first user, a point of interest (POI) record associated with the target entity;
- obtain a current location associated with the target entity specified by the POI record;
- determine a distance between the current location of the target entity as specified by the target entity POI record and a current location of the first user device;
- in response to determining that the distance between the current location of the target entity and the current location of the first user device is less than a pre-set threshold, prompting the first user to initiate a geogesture with the first user device;
- obtain geogesture parameters associated with the geogesture;
- define, based on the geogesture parameters, a geographic area;
- produce a verification result indicative of whether the current location of the target entity is within the geographic area defined by the geogesture parameters;
- and
- based at least in part on the verification result, cause a verification response to be output on at least one of:
- (i) the first user device, and/or
- (ii) a device associated with the target entity.
