Abstract
A clip for a mounting assembly of a solar panel includes an elongated body and a flexible tab. The flexible tab extends from the elongated body. The flexible tab is configured to elastically deform from a relaxed position to a flexed position in response to a force. The flexible tab is configured to automatically return to the relaxed position absent the force.
Claims20
A clip for a mounting assembly of a solar panel, the clip comprising:
- an elongated body;
- and
- a flexible tab extending from the elongated body, the flexible tab configured to elastically deform from a relaxed position to a flexed position in response to a force, and the flexible tab configured to automatically return to the relaxed position absent the force.
A clip for a mounting assembly of a solar panel, the clip comprising:
- a base wall;
- a pair of side walls extending from the base wall in a first direction;
- and
- a flexible tab configured to pivot with respect to the base wall between a relaxed position and a flexed position, wherein in the relaxed position, a first portion of the flexible tab is disposed in the first direction with respect to the base wall and a second portion of the flexible tab is disposed in a second direction with respect to the base wall, the second direction being opposite the first direction.
1 more element
A method of assembling a mounting assembly for a solar panel comprising:
- aligning a pair of first apertures of a first bracket with a pair of second apertures of a second bracket, the first bracket at least partially inside the second bracket;
- and
- translating a clip in a first direction such that an elongated body of the clip extends through the pair of first apertures and the pair of second apertures, wherein the translating causes a flexible tab of the clip to pivot from a relaxed position to a flexed position, and automatically return to the relaxed position when the clip is in an installed position.
