Abstract

In the present disclosure, a connector 10 includes: an insulator 20 including an insertion portion 23 into which a connection object 70 is inserted; multiple contacts 30 attached to the insulator 20, each contact 30 including a mount portion configured to be mounted on a circuit board CB; a first metal member 50 attached to the insulator 20; and a second metal member 60 attached to at least one of the insulator 20 or the first metal member 50, in which the first metal member 50 includes an opening 52 that enables the mount portions to be seen from an outer surface of the first metal member 50 in a non-inserted state in which the connection object 70 is not inserted into the insertion portion 23, and the second metal member 60 includes a shield portion 61 configured to move along with insertion of the connection object 70 into the insertion portion 23 and to overlap the opening 52 in an inserted state in which the connection object 70 is inserted into the insertion portion 23.
