Electronic device for generating background screen and operation method thereof

An electronic device comprising:

• memory storing instructions;
• and
• a processor executing the instructions,
• wherein the instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the electronic device to:
• extract a target object from an image,
• divide, into a first frame and a second frame, a target frame to be displayed together with the target object among a plurality of frames, based on a shape of an object area included in the target frame, and
• display, on a display, a background screen generated by arranging the target object, the first frame, and the second frame.

A method performed by an electronic device, the method comprising:

• extracting a target object from an image;
• dividing, into a first frame and a second frame, a target frame to be displayed together with the target object among a plurality of frames;
• determining a priority between the target object, the first frame, and the second frame based on a position of the target object;
• and
• displaying a background screen generated by arranging the target object, the first frame, and the second frame according to the priority.
