Sheet conveying device and image forming apparatus

A sheet conveying device comprising:

• a conveyor to convey a sheet in a conveyance path in a conveyance direction;
• and
• a guide to guide the sheet conveyed by the conveyor in the conveyance direction, the guide having:
• a reference guide face extending along the conveyance direction;
• and
• a concave recessed away from the conveyance path with respect to the reference guide face in a retraction direction intersecting the conveyance direction,
• wherein the concave has:
• a vertex that is a most recessed portion in the concave in the retraction direction;
• an inner corner extending from the vertex to the reference guide face in the conveyance direction;
• and
• an inclined face pair including faces sandwiching the inner corner, and
• the inclined face pair is:
• inclined from the inner corner in the conveyance direction toward the reference guide face;
• and
• inclined outward in a width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction and intersecting to the retraction direction with respect to a plane of the reference guide face, and connected to the reference guide face.
