Abstract
A cleaning apparatus cleans a wire electrode of a charging apparatus that charges a surface of a photoconductor, where an electrostatic latent image is to be formed on the surface. The cleaning apparatus includes a cleaning member and an operation member. The cleaning member is brought into contact with the wire electrode to clean the wire electrode. The operation member is exposed to an exterior of an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus through an opening through which a photoconductor unit that includes the photoconductor and the charging apparatus is exposed externally. The operation member moves the cleaning member in a length direction of the wire electrode in response to being operated from the exterior.
Claims5
A cleaning apparatus that cleans a wire electrode of a charging apparatus that charges a surface of a photoconductor, with an electrostatic latent image being to be formed on the surface, the cleaning apparatus comprising:
- a cleaning member that is brought into contact with the wire electrode to clean the wire electrode;
- and
- an operation member that is exposed to an exterior of an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus through an opening through which a photoconductor unit that includes the photoconductor and the charging apparatus is exposed externally, the operation member moving the cleaning member in a length direction of the wire electrode in response to being operated from the exterior.
