Abstract
Provided are a photodetector and a photodetection device including a pixel array with sensitivity variation further reduced. A photodetector including a semiconductor substrate in which a photoelectric conversion section is provided, an inter-pixel light-shielding section that is provided over the semiconductor substrate and defines a light incident region of a pixel corresponding to the photoelectric conversion section, and an on-chip lens that is provided on the light incident region of the semiconductor substrate, in which at least edge sections of the on-chip lens in a diagonal direction of the pixel fall onto the light incident region.
Claims12
A photodetector, comprising:
- a semiconductor substrate in which a photoelectric conversion section is provided;
- an inter-pixel light-shielding section that is provided over the semiconductor substrate and defines a light incident region of a pixel corresponding to the photoelectric conversion section;
- and
- an on-chip lens that is provided on the light incident region of the semiconductor substrate,
- wherein at least edge sections of the on-chip lens in a diagonal direction of the pixel fall onto the light incident region.
A photodetection device, comprising:
- a photodetector;
- and a processing circuitry that performs signal processing on an output from the photodetector,
- wherein the photodetector includes
- a semiconductor substrate in which a photoelectric conversion section is provided,
- an inter-pixel light-shielding section that is provided over the semiconductor substrate and defines a light incident region of a pixel corresponding to the photoelectric conversion section, and
- an on-chip lens that is provided on the light incident region of the semiconductor substrate, and
- at least edge sections of the on-chip lens in a diagonal direction of the pixel fall onto the light incident region.
