Clothing treatment apparatus

A laundry treating apparatus comprising:

• a cabinet including an inlet defined in a front surface thereof;
• a door configured to open and close the inlet;
• a first chamber located in the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry therein via the inlet;
• an auxiliary chamber located separately and beneath the first chamber within the cabinet;
• a blowing unit disposed in the auxiliary chamber and configured to circulate air in the first chamber;
• an air supply duct disposed in the auxiliary chamber, located close to one side surface among both side surfaces of the cabinet, and configured to allow air of the first chamber to flow to the blowing unit;
• a connecting duct disposed in the auxiliary chamber and including a heat exchanger for heat exchange between air that has passed through the blowing unit and a refrigerant;
• and
• a discharge duct disposed in the auxiliary chamber, located close to the other side surface among said both side surfaces of the cabinet, and configured to allow air that has passed through the connecting duct to flow to the first chamber.
