Abstract
A system for dispensing a consumable material, the system comprising a dispenser to dispense the consumable material into a receptacle, a receptacle sensor configured to emit a signal and receive a reflected signal from the receptacle, the receptacle sensor being movable relative to the receptacle, a motor operatively connected to the receptacle sensor to move the receptacle sensor relative to the receptacle, and a controller configured to determine a physical parameter of the receptacle based on the reflected signal and an operational parameter of the motor, wherein the dispenser dispenses the consumable material into the receptacle based on the physical parameter.

A system for dispensing a consumable material, the system comprising:
- a dispenser to dispense the consumable material into a receptacle;
- a receptacle sensor configured to emit a signal and receive a reflected signal from the receptacle, the receptacle sensor being movable relative to the receptacle;
- a motor operatively connected to the receptacle sensor to move the receptacle sensor relative to the receptacle;
- a controller configured to determine a physical parameter of the receptacle based on the reflected signal and an operational parameter of the motor;
- wherein the dispenser dispenses the consumable material into the receptacle based on the physical parameter.

A method of dispensing a consumable material into a receptacle, the method comprising:
- moving a receptacle sensor relative to the receptacle by a motor operatively connected to the receptacle sensor, the receptacle sensor configured to emit a signal and receive a reflected signal from the receptacle;
- determining, by a controller, a physical parameter of the receptacle based on the reflected signal and an operational parameter of the motor;
- dispensing, by a dispenser, the consumable material into the receptacle based on the physical parameter.
