Abstract
A shingle carrying container is constructed of a single piece of flexible continuous and contiguous planar substrate having a pair of opposed long sides and a pair of opposed short sides to form a generally rectangular shape. A plurality of spaced parallel longitudinal creases are provided in the substrate that define a rear end panel, a top panel, a bottom panel, a bottom front panel, and a top front panel. Furthermore, a pair of opposed parallel side creases in the substrate spaced from the short sides normal to the longitudinal creases define a pair of opposed side panes having tabs on the ends for folding over and assembling the container.
Claims16
A carry and storage container for shingles, comprising:
- a single piece of flexible continuous and contiguous planar substrate having a pair of opposed long sides and a pair of opposed short sides to form a generally rectangular shape;
- multiple longitudinal creases in the substrate at spaced intervals that define a bottom panel, a bottom front panel, a rear end panel, a top panel, and a top front panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the rear end panel is configured to rotate relative to the bottom panel about an axis defined by a first one of the longitudinal creases into a upright orientation relative to the bottom panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the top panel is configured to rotate relative to the rear end panel about an axis defined by a second one of the longitudinal creases into a position in which it is substantially parallel to the bottom panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the top front panel is configured to rotate relative to the top panel about an axis defined by a third one of the longitudinal creases into a position in which it extends down from the top panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the bottom front panel is configured to rotate relative to the bottom panel about an axis defined a fourth one of the longitudinal creases into a upright orientation relative to the bottom panel;
- and
- wherein the bottom front panel further comprises a longitudinal crease dividing the bottom front panel into first and second bottom front panel sections that, in assembling the container, are folded to overlap each other and engage the top front panel to provide three layers of substrate when the container is assembled.
A carry and storage container, comprising:
- a single piece of flexible continuous and contiguous planar substrate having a pair of opposed long sides and a pair of opposed short sides to form a generally rectangular shape;
- and
- multiple longitudinal creases in the substrate at spaced intervals that define a bottom panel, a bottom front panel, a rear end panel, a top panel, and a top front panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the rear end panel is configured to rotate relative to the bottom panel about an axis defined by a first one of the longitudinal creases into a upright orientation relative to the bottom panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the top panel is configured to rotate relative to the rear end panel about an axis defined by a second one of the longitudinal creases into a position in which it is substantially parallel to the bottom panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the top front panel is configured to rotate relative to the top panel about an axis defined by a third one of the longitudinal creases into a position in which it extends down from the top panel;
- wherein, in assembling the container, the bottom front panel is configured to rotate relative to the bottom panel about an axis defined a fourth one of the longitudinal creases into a upright orientation relative to the bottom panel;
- and
- wherein the bottom front panel further comprises a longitudinal crease dividing the bottom front panel into first and second bottom front panel sections that, in assembling the container, are folded to overlap each other and engage the top front panel to provide three layers of substrate when the container is assembled.
