Moving platform for transporting things

A thrusting assembly configured for mounting on an aerial platform for generating thrusting power, the thrusting assembly comprising:

• one or more fluid-based rotary actuators in fluid communication with a source of energized working fluid for receiving energized working fluid to thereby driving the one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• one or more actuator disc arrangements, each comprising a plurality of blades, rotatable by said one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• a valving mechanism is disposed along a flow path between the source of energized working fluid and the one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• a combustion component configured to heat air mass flow that flows from the one or more actuator disc arrangements to thereby further accelerate the air mass flow;
• at least one processing circuitry;
• one or more memories coupled to the at least one processing circuitry and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processing circuitry to control said valving mechanism to result in at least one of:
• (i) selected fluid mass flow rate, (ii) selected fluid pressure, and (iii) selected temperature of said energized working fluid in said one or more fluid-based rotary actuators or being received in said one or more fluid-based rotary actuators.

A thrusting assembly configured for mounting on an aerial platform for generating thrusting power, the thrusting assembly comprising:

• one or more fluid-based rotary actuators in fluid communication with a source of energized working fluid for receiving energized working fluid to thereby driving the one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• and one or more actuator disc arrangements, each comprising a plurality of blades, rotatable by said one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• the thrusting assembly thereby generating autorotation energy in response to autorotation of the one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• a valving mechanism is disposed along a flow path between the source of energized working fluid and the one or more fluid-based rotary actuators;
• and
• at least one processing circuitry;
• one or more memories coupled to the at least one processing circuitry and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processing circuitry to control said valving mechanism to result in at least one of:
• (i) selected fluid mass flow rate, (ii) selected fluid pressure, and (iii) selected temperature of said energized working fluid in said one or more fluid-based rotary actuators or being received in said one or more fluid-based rotary actuators.
