Module-based houses for recreational vehicles

A recreational vehicle comprising:

• a towable chassis including wheels;
• a house on the chassis, the house comprising a plurality of house modules mounted adjacent one other with respect to the chassis, each house module at least partially preassembled before being mounted with respect to the chassis and including at least a floor, first and second outer walls, and a roof, and wherein the plurality of house modules includes:
• one or more first length interior modules from a group including a kitchen/dining/lounge module, a bedroom module, a bathroom/dining/lounge module, a bedroom/lounge module, a bathroom/kitchen module, a kitchen/dining/lounge/sleeping module, or a bathroom/dining/lounge/sleeping module;
• a rear end cap module;
• and
• a front end cap module from a group including a bathroom module, a kitchen module, a lounge module, and a kitchen/bathroom module;
• and
• a seal structure coupling the floors, first and second outer walls and roofs of the adjacent house modules.

A method for assembling a recreational vehicle, comprising:

• providing a towable chassis including wheels;
• selecting a plurality of house modules from a group of house modules, wherein each of the house modules is at least partially preassembled and includes at least a floor, and first and second outer walls;
• mounting the selected plurality of house modules adjacent to one other on the chassis;
• and
• connecting the adjacent house modules.
