Wheel head assembly for a vehicle axle

A wheel head assembly (1, 1a) for a vehicle axle, the wheel head assembly (1, 1a) comprising:

• an axle housing (3);
• a wheel hub (2);
• a bearing unit, wherein the bearing unit is arranged coaxially relative to an axial rotation axis, and wherein by means of the bearing unit the wheel hub (2) is fitted so that it can rotate relative to the axle housing (3), wherein the bearing unit comprises at least two wheel bearings (5, 6) an axial distance apart from one another, and wherein the bearing unit has, respectively, a first axial bearing unit end (14) and a second axial bearing unit end (15);
• and
• a first spacer element and a second spacer element are arranged in the axial direction on the axle housing (3), wherein the first spacer element is arranged in the axial direction on the first bearing unit end (14) and the second spacer element is arranged in the axial direction on the second bearing unit end (15), and wherein a fastening element is provided for the axial fixing of the bearing unit by securing the first and second spacer elements with the bearing unit.
