Abstract

There is provided a transfer machine that transfers an image formed on a first transfer surface of a first transfer sheet with a sublimation ink to a front surface of a medium and transfers an image formed on a second transfer surface of a second transfer sheet with a sublimation ink to a back surface of the medium, and the transfer machine includes: a heating unit that heats the first transfer sheet and the second transfer sheet sandwiching the medium in a stacking section in which a first path through which the first transfer sheet is conveyed, a second path through which the second transfer sheet is conveyed, and a third path through which the medium is conveyed overlap each other; and a detection unit that detects an amount of meandering of the first transfer sheet and the second transfer sheet before being heated by the heating unit.
