Abstract
A biaxially oriented polyester film contains chemically recycled polyester. In the biaxially oriented polyester film, the area proportion of a region having a molecular weight of 1000 or less is 1.9% or more and 5.5% or less of the total peak area in the molecular weight distribution curve acquired by gel permeation chromatography.

A biaxially oriented polyester film comprising chemically recycled polyester, wherein an area proportion of a region having a molecular weight of 1000 or less is 1.9% or more and 5.5% or less of a total peak area in a molecular weight distribution curve acquired by gel permeation chromatography.
