Dust separator for blind cutting systems

A system comprising:

• a cutting assembly comprising:
• a housing defining a chamber;
• a cutting blade;
• at least one component;
• and
• a member dividing the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber;
• and
• a dust removal system comprising a vacuum in fluid communication with the at least one component;
• wherein the cutting blade is located in the first chamber and the at least one component is located in the second chamber, and wherein the cutting blade is configured to generate dust as a result of cutting an object comprising a window blind or shade.

A device comprising:

• a housing defining a chamber;
• a cutting blade;
• a container;
• and
• a member dividing the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber, the member comprising a first aperture extending from a first side of the member to a second side of the member, the first aperture defining a first fluid pathway placing the first chamber in fluid communication with the second chamber,
• wherein the cutting blade is located in the first chamber, and the cutting blade is configured to generate dust as a result of cutting an object comprising a window blind or shade, and wherein the container is located in the second chamber and the container accumulates the dust collected from the first chamber by a dust removal system comprising a vacuum in fluid communication with the container and the first chamber.
