This terminal support device comprises an attachment pedestal for detachably attaching a portable communication terminal that commands operation of a robot via wireless communication to a control device of the robot in accordance with teaching operation content, a safety switch that outputs a safety signal for the control device, an interface unit to which is connected an electrical cable comprising a signal line for transmission of the safety signal to the control device and a power source line for transmission of electric power that is supplied from the control device, and a wireless power transmission unit that performs wireless power transmission, to the portable communication terminal, of a portion of the electric power that is received from the control device via the interface unit and the power source line of the electrical cable.
