Abstract
A device for manipulating an inner surface of an object comprises a laser beam directing device for directing a laser beam onto the inner surface of the object to manipulate the inner surface of the object and thereby provide structural changes to, remove a material from and/or add material to said inner surface of the object at the location the laser beam directing device directing said laser beam. The device comprises also a moving device configured to move the laser beam directing device inside the object thereby manipulating the inner surface of the object in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The object may be e.g. an elongated cylindrical object having a longitudinal axis essentially parallel with the inner surface of the object

A device for manipulating an inner surface of an object having a longitudinal axis essentially parallel with the inner surface of the object, wherein the device comprises
- a laser beam directing device for directing a laser beam onto the inner surface of the object to manipulate the inner surface of the object and thereby provide structural changes to, remove a material from or to add material to said inner surface of the object at the location the laser beam directing device directing said laser beam and
- a moving device configured to move the laser beam directing device inside the object thereby manipulating the inner surface of the object in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
A method for manipulating an inner surface of an elongated object wall, said wall having a longitudinal axis essentially parallel with the inner surface of the object
- wherein the method comprises steps of
- directing a laser beam onto the inner surface of the object by a laser beam directing device to manipulate the inner surface of the cylindrical object and thereby provide structural changes to, remove a material from, or add material to said inner surface of the object at the location the laser beam directing device directing said laser beam, and
- moving the laser beam directing device inside the object by a moving device thereby manipulating the inner surface of the object in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
