Portable container holder for use in a bioprocess

A system for use in a bioprocess, wherein the system has a portable container mounting, having a container receptacle and a single-use container which has received a magnetically driven mixing element for mixing a fluid, wherein the single-use container is received in the container receptacle, the container receptacle has a drive location, and the mixing element is disposed in the single-use container received in the container receptacle on the drive location of the container receptacle in such a manner that the mixing element is able to be driven by a drive unit, wherein the portable container mounting has a transport safeguard for securing and releasing the mixing element, which is disposed on the drive location, in its position, and in that the transport safeguard has a magnet which is movable between a defined secure position in which the mixing element is positionally secured, and a defined release position, in which the mixing element is positionally released.

A method for holding and transporting a single-use container while using a portable container mounting, wherein the single-use container is received in a container receptacle of the portable container mounting, and a magnetically driven mixing element for mixing a fluid, which is received in the single-use container, is disposed on a drive location of the portable container mounting in such a manner that the mixing element is able to be driven by a drive unit,

• wherein the mixing element disposed on the drive location is secured in its position by a transport safeguard of the portable container mounting, which transport safeguard has a magnet, in that the magnet is moved, in which the mixing element is positionally released, to a defined secure position in which the mixing element is positionally secured.
