Handheld electronic bubble game

A handheld electronic device comprising:

• a housing assembly having apertures formed therethrough;
• resilient domes mounted in the apertures, each of the resilient domes having a first marking on a first surface and a second marking on a second surface, wherein each resilient dome is accessible from opposite faces of the housing assembly;
• a sensor mounted within the housing assembly and operative to detect orientation of the housing assembly;
• a speaker mounted within the housing assembly;
• and
• a microprocessor disposed within the housing assembly and electrically connected to the sensor and the speaker, the microprocessor operative to emit a first sound associated with the first marking when any of the resilient domes is activated from the first surface and to emit a second sound associated with the second marking when any of the resilient domes is activated from the second surface.

A handheld electronic device comprising:

• a housing;
• resilient domes protruding from the housing, each resilient dome being depressible to a depressed position;
• touch sensitive inputs disposed within the housing, each of the touch sensitive inputs positioned to detect when a respective one of the resilient domes is in the depressed position;
• light emitting diodes disposed within the housing, each of the light emitting diodes positioned to illuminate a respective one of the resilient domes;
• and
• a microprocessor disposed within the housing and electrically connected to the touch sensitive inputs and the light emitting diodes, the microprocessor operative to selectively activate or deactivate a respective light emitting diode based on detection of depression of a respective resilient dome by a respective touch sensitive input.
