Method for bone repair

A method for bone repair, comprising preparing a composition into a bone repair material and implanting the bone repair material into a bone defect in a patient;

• wherein the method is for filling a tooth extraction socket after tooth extraction or residual root extraction in stomatology;
• utilizing a rapid blood absorption property of the bone repair material, the bone repair material is trimmed to an appropriate size and directly packed into the extraction socket without pre-rehydration, and a wound is directly closed by suture without covering with a collagen membrane or using a metal fixation device;
• wherein, based on 100% by mass of the total dry matter of the composition, the composition comprises:
• 70%-90% of coralline hydroxyapatite particles,
• 5%-23% of a recombinant human collagen, and
• 5%-7% of an excipient;
• the composition does not contain chemical cross-linking agents;
• wherein the bone repair material is a cancellous bone-mimicking material and has a porosity of 90%-99%;
• the recombinant human collagen has an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1;
• wherein the coralline hydroxyapatite particles have a particle size of 0.1 mm-2 mm, a pore size of 50 μm-800 μm, and a porosity of 50%-80%;
• and a conversion rate of the coralline hydroxyapatite particles is 5%-30%;
• wherein the coralline hydroxyapatite particles are prepared by soaking coral stone in a cutting protective agent, performing crushing and granulating, and performing hydrothermal exchange;
• the cutting protective agent is a solution containing a polyol, and a duration of the soaking is ≥3 h;
• wherein the coralline hydroxyapatite particles are “nanoflower”-structured coralline hydroxyapatite;
• wherein the composition is a solid porous material formed by the coralline hydroxyapatite particles bonded to each other through the recombinant human collagen;
• wherein the composition becomes saturated within 2-3 seconds upon rehydration or re-blooding, remains intact without disintegrating, and has a shape memory function;
• wherein the composition has good toughness and mechanical strength, and is resistant to crushing or crumbling under pressure.
