Abstract
Disclosed herein are methods of treating uterine leiomyomas in a subject in need thereof comprising administering a STAT3 pathway inhibitor to the subject, methods of killing a tumor cell comprising contacting the tumor cell with a STAT3 pathway inhibitor, and methods of reducing the likelihood of recurrence of uterine leiomyomas in a subject in need thereof comprising administering a STAT3 pathway inhibitor.
Claims20
A method of treating uterine leiomyomas (LMs) in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway inhibitor to the subject to treat the LMs in the subject.
A method of killing or inhibiting proliferation a tumor cell comprising a mutation in mediator complex subunit 12 (MED12), the method comprising contacting the tumor cell with an effective amount of a signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway inhibitor to kill or inhibit proliferation of the tumor cell.
A method of reducing recurrence likelihood of uterine leiomyomas (LMs) in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway inhibitor to the subject to reduce the recurrence likelihood of the uterine leiomyomas in the subject.
