Abstract
This invention is directed to an apparatus to assist a user in the act of walking and specifically is directed to ensuring user comfort and safety in the act of walking or in other ambulation of the body.
Claims10
An apparatus for walking safety comprising:
- a frame, the frame including four vertical members defining corners of the frame and a front, a rear and opposing sides;
- each of the vertical members being adjustable in length to adjust a height of the frame;
- at least one side beam coupled with vertical members on opposing sides of the frame;
- at least one front horizontal member coupled between vertical members on the front of the frame, the at least one front horizontal member adjustable in length for adjusting the width of the frame;
- horizontal support members coupled with vertical members on opposing sides of the frame, the horizontal support members coupled proximate to top ends of respective vertical members;
- an arm structure coupled to the frame on either side of the frame;
- a harness coupled to the frame for supporting a user of the apparatus.
