Abstract
A patient mobility apparatus that can be used with or without a patient lift apparatus can comprise an inflatable envelope having a patient-facing surface, an opposing surface, and at least two pairs of opposing first handles attached proximal to exterior opposite edges of the inflatable envelope, wherein the first handles are attached to the opposing surface but not to the patient-facing surface. By one approach, one or more flexible reinforcement members can be attached to the opposing surface along and proximal to one or more exterior edges of the inflatable envelope but not to the patient-facing surface. By one approach, such flexible reinforcement members are not attached to the aforementioned first handles.
