Multi-functional surgical cautery device, system and method of use

A system comprising:

• a source of electrical energy electrically coupled to a first element and a second element;
• the first element;
• the second element, the second element being independently positionable with respect to the first element;
• and
• wherein the first and second elements have a surgical component and are capable of forming an electrical circuit and delivering electrical energy from the source to a target tissue of a patient upon completion of the electrical circuit.

A device comprising:

• an electrically conductive wire, the electrically conductive wire being electrically connected to an electrically insulated element;
• the electrically insulated element, the electrically insulated element including a electrically conductive surgical component;
• and
• the surgical component, the surgical component being capable of delivering electrical energy to a target tissue of a patient.
