Abstract
An ultrasound probe includes a piezoelectric body including a first surface; an insulating layer including a covering portion that covers a portion of the first surface and a peripheral edge portion that in plan view does not overlap the piezoelectric body; a first electrode including an electrode portion in contact with the first surface and a terminal portion in contact with a surface of the peripheral edge portion; and a wiring substrate bonded to the terminal portion of the first electrode and to the peripheral edge portion of the insulating layer.

An ultrasound probe comprising:
- a piezoelectric body including a first surface;
- an insulating layer including a covering portion that covers a portion of the first surface and a peripheral edge portion that, in plan view, does not overlap the piezoelectric body;
- a first electrode including an electrode portion in contact with the first surface of the piezoelectric body and a terminal portion in contact with a surface of the peripheral edge portion of the insulating layer;
- and
- a wiring substrate bonded to the terminal portion of the first electrode and to the peripheral edge portion of the insulating layer.
